This summer, the Musée will be launching an exciting new initiative with the first edition of the Québec Triennial, an exhibition devoted to the current state of contemporary Québec art.

The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and Télé-Québec have joined forces to produce, curate and disseminate a series of video spot artworks.

Projections Series: Film and Video Program
July 9, 2008 to January 11, 2009
Recent film and video output is rich and diverse. Many artists from a wide variety of backgrounds - video makers, visual artists, photographers, playwrights, choreographers and composers - are drawn to the poetic power of the image projected on the big screen. Projections refers to the energy of a thrust forward, toward the future of the moving image.

Paul-Émile Borduas and the Refus Global
July 12, 2008 to January 11, 2009
To mark the sixtieth anniversary of the publication of the Refus Global, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal is exhibiting an original edition of the manifesto, various documents related to Automatism and several works by Paul-Émile Borduas in its Omer DeSerres Gallery until January 11, 2009.
