Construction in the Quartier des spectacles

The City of Montreal has launched a major revitalization of the Quartier des spectacles. In addition, a new concert hall is being built on the Place des Arts site.

During construction, visitors should access the Musée from the metro station (Place-des-Arts).

Motorists will still have access to the Place des Arts parking garage.

For more information, you can visit the city’s website (in French only), at any time or call Info-travaux at 514 872-3777, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

We apologize for any inconvenience the construction may cause.

Accessibility for people with reduced mobility

The museum is accessible and adapted to the needs of people in wheelchairs. This includes the restrooms. As well, we have a number of wheelchairs available (free of charge) for use by visitors. The Québec organization Kéroul, which provides information for people with limited physical ability and lobbies on their behalf, has certified that the museum meets its access standards.

A wheelchair-accessible entrance is located next to the museum’s main door at 185 Sainte-Catherine. To enter through this locked door, simply press the intercom button to communicate with the museum’s security staff.

Parking for people with reduced mobility

Parking spaces for people with reduced mobility are available at Place des Arts. To use these spaces, you must contact Place des Arts security staff to obtain help getting to Sainte-Catherine Street. You can then enter the museum via the wheelchair-accessible entrance located next to the main door.

Municipal parking spaces with adapted parking meters, as well as reserved parking spaces, are also available in several locations in the borough of Ville-Marie. For more information, visit the Stationnement de Montréal website.
