Appointments to the Board of Directors of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal
Montréal, June 6, 2005. The Chairman of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Marc DeSerres, is proud to present the new members of the Board of Directors. They are Nathalie Pratte, Robert-Jean Chénier, Marcel Fournier, Mario Labbé and Irving Ludmer. The new members were appointed for a three-year term by Order-in-Council of the Québec Cabinet on May 4, 2005.
Nathalie Pratte has been President of Groupe-Conseil Envirostratégies inc. since 1995. Robert-Jean Chénier, an attorney with McCarthy Tétrault since 1975, also chairs the Musée’s Collection Advisory Committee. Marcel Fournier, Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Université de Montréal, was appointed on the recommendation of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal. Irving Ludmer is President of Cleman Ludmer Steinberg Inc., while Mario Labbé is President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Analekta inc. The Board and Management of the Musée extend their warmest congratulations to all the new members.
They also join the Chairman in expressing their heartfelt gratitude to outgoing members Ann Birks, Martha Tapiero-Lawee, Georges Curzi, Serge Guérin and Charles S.N. Parent, who were particularly active on the Musée’s acquisition, programming and budget committees. Mr. DeSerres offers them his special thanks for the time they devoted to building the institution and for their dedication throughout their term of office.
