Montréal, April 4, 2006 - More than 50,000 people have visited the exhibition Anselm Kiefer: Heaven – Earth at the Musée d’art contemporain. What about you? You only have until April 30 to visit the show critics are unanimously hailing as “the exhibition of the decade at the Musée d’art contemporain.”

Throughout the exhibition’s run, spontaneous testimonials from the public and journalists alike have been pouring in by e-mail and phone. The comment heard most often is how overwhelmed people were by their visit. A tremendous word-of-mouth campaign has sprung up around the exhibition: attendance took off as soon as it opened on February 11 and, quite unusually, hasn’t slowed down since. During the Montréal All-Nighter alone, more than 8,000 visitors lined up to get a personal sense of the scale of these monumental pieces. Musée attendance has doubled and, on Wednesday evenings, even quadrupled! Anselm Kiefer: Heaven – Earth joins the Top 5 of the most popular exhibitions in the Musée’s history, along with the Judy Chicago, Alfred Pellan, Shirin Neshat and Artcité shows.

In its only stop in the Northeast, the exhibition is on view here just until April 30. Don’t miss your last chance to experience this event.

Schedule: Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Wednesdays from 11 am. to 9 p.m.
