Nocturnes at the Musée d'art contemporain: aKido and his musicians
Coming next Friday, August 3, from 3 to 9 p.m.

Montréal, July 20, 2007. On the first Friday of every month, the Musée is open late from 6 to 9, for an evening where you can expect the unexpected. Visit the galleries on your own, or take in exhibition “clips”: speed tours of a random selection of works currently on view, plus live music and bar service with original drinks concocted by Mixoart & Fluid Flair.

On the program this coming August 3 from 6 to 9 p.m., an evening plugged into “electronic rock” with aKido and his musicians. Performing on stage will be six artists, on keyboard, drums, bass and the spoken word. Montréal-based aKido and his musicians explore the parallel dimensions rock and electronic music. Special guest for the occasion: Serge Nakauchi Pelletier of Pawa Up First. Video projections by Pillow and Mademoiselle will also be featured.

aKido (alias Kim Gaboury) is a composer and guitarist born in QuébecCity. He has worked on the music for films such as Maurice Richard (The Rocket), Aurore, Hunt for Justice and Race to Mars, IMAX documentaries, TV series including Vice Caché, and live shows like Cavalia and Shanghai Circus World in China.

Bar service by Mixoart & Fluid Flair. Enjoy original cocktails like Nocturnes, Point G, Artefact or Lotus Rose. Cash bar only.

See you there!
